A MOTHER’S DAY ROAST

Craft is opening for lunch on Mother’s Day, serving a special farmer’s roast from 12pm to 4pm.
Head chef Thomas Greig is sourcing some of the best cuts from all across the country and will cook over wood fire in the restaurant.
Chicken and tarragon terrine, pickled onions, cauliflower & crispy chicken skin
Cured bream, horseradish, beetroot & smoked yoghurt
Purple sprouting broccoli, candied hazelnuts, lemon & chilli
Roast peppered beef, roast onions & horseradish cream
Berkshire pork belly, sour apple sauce & crackling
Roast leeks, smoked jersey royals and rainbow chard
Cornish hake, ratte potatoes, lemon & wild garlic
Served with beef fat roast potatoes, rainbow carrots, spring greens & confit onion
Celeriac Ice cream, pears and rye biscuit
Rhubarb, lemon verbena ice cream, almond and craft honey
Chocolate aero, Jerusalem artichoke ice cream, mint and cucumber granita

Weekly experimental cooking from Thomas Greig
Every Tuesday at Craft Thomas and the team offer a completely blind menu of up to six dishes which are still in menu development.
The dishes could feature something we’ve grown or foraged ourselves, or a new ingredient that’s only in season for a very short time. We might be focusing on a new technique, such as curing of meat, house ferments or pickles. We may cook several cuts of meat taken from the same animal to see which one we like the most or we might try several varieties of the same vegetable. We could sample cheese, taste salmon we’ve smoked ourselves or even devour the new canape menu.
Whatever we serve, guests won’t leave hungry and we guarantee it will be different every week.
It’s an opportunity to be part of the creative, collaborative process here at Craft and we encourage guests to speak with both the front of house and our chefs.
